Time For Reggae, Mon, Win Tickets Here

This weekend is the 18th Annual Kentucky Reggae Festival at the Water Tower.

It’s not just a bunch of local bands playing Bob Marley covers, either. Organizers of the event take the Jamaican heritage of reggae seriously, lining up eight authentic bands (many with true Jamaicans in their ranks), serving genuine Jamaican food and offering up a vendor marketplace featuring all things Jamaican.

It starts at 2 both Saturday and Sunday, and the entertainment goes until 11 or so. There’s free parking, a kids’ area and you can get in for just $6 before 6, $9 after 6, or free if you win tickets from Page One Kentucky and The ‘Ville Voice.

That’s right, we’re getting you in free. Just respond to this post by leaving a comment, using your real e-mail address, and you’re very likely to win tickets. You’ll just have to meet us Friday and pick them up.

  1. Please keep up the great work at The ‘Ville Voice. I check the site every day, you guys have the scoop on goings on!

…and I’d like to win three tickets for the Reggae Fest, mon…

    thanks

  2. I don’t get out much so I’d really like to go.
Oh, uh, you guys are the best and Rick carries CW on Tuesday mornings.
Is this just a drawing or should I make up some more stuff?
    Thank you.

  3. I check your site out at least twice a week. You folks get the storys out first and you get it right. Your articles are more relevent and interesting to me than other local outlets. Plus, you link to other outlets when they have a good angle or more in-depth information.
I’ve never been to the reggae festival. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it so this time I want to be one of those people who will say next week, “It was great. You should have been there!”

  4. My birthday is this weekend, and I think this would be a great present from you all. :-)
You forgot to put when the deadline for entry is — I hope I’m not too late.

  5. I would love to win tickets! :) And I’m not saying this because I want to win, but I read this site every morning, its my morning news. :)

  6. I’m in. I hope the vibe is as cool as it was in Jamaica. Where can I meet you for the tickets?
