Sights of the Mint Jubilee

Is it being able to walk up and have a conversation with, say, Valerie Bertinelli or Warren Moon that makes the celebrity galas so much fun? Or is it the free booze? The well-dressed ladies?

All of the above.

Here’s a selection of photos from Friday’s Mint Jubilee, which, despite the controversial aspects you’ll read about here later, was a great night for celebs, media types and politicians. And regular folks who could pony up for the $500 tickets.

We caught Marg Helgenberger on the red carpet, Valerie Bertinelli fulfilling big fan Terry Meiners’ lifelong dream of meeting her, Joe Piscopo doing Frank Sinatra, Angie Fenton interviewing Evander Holyfield, country star Josh Turner and the event co-founders — Chris and Tom Thieneman and Matt Battaglia.

And more… take a look.

Peep the rest of these fancy pictures after the jump…

  1. Pfft. Like these folks would give ME the time of day. They wouldn’t be here if they weren’t paid to show up…
