There’s a lot of good-natured humor coming out of my time in jail, perhaps nothing more so than this.
Corrections chief Mark Bolton was hit by a car today while walking (in the crosswalk) to a meeting downtown. He’s unhurt, just a few bumps and bruises, according to Corrections spokesperson Pam Windsor. A lady apparently hit him exiting a parking garage. No charges have been filed.
Don’t you wonder, though, if the woman had been arrested, if her paperwork might mysteriously disappear?
When word got to the Mayor’s office about the incident, some jokesters wondered if I had anything to do with it. Ha Ha Ha.

I bet he got hit at that crosswalk at 6 and cedar. Happens or comes close all of the time. People coming out of the parking garage look right for on-coming traffic and the crosswalk is immediately upon them on the left as they exit the garage.
I would sue the Mayor and Metro if I were him.

I volunteer at the jail on occasion and Mr. Bolton stopped and thanked me for my help. He strikes me as a very nice, professional and caring man. I hope he is ok.
