She does have good, but not great, political experience and a good reputation overall. However, she would not do well in the West End, Portland, or even SW Jefferson County. Her ability to generate money is an obvious plus, but not enough to offset the negitives. Sadly though, she may be the best local Republicans can come up with, which will simply be too little to take on “King” Jerry. I think the fact that she has generated the interest she has underscores the need to get rid Abramson. For that matter, we need to get rid of several spineless hacks on the Louisville Metro Soviet while we’re at it.

Who cares what party when you are talking about the Mayor of Louisville. We need someone competent and willing to challenge the old guard that has consistently looked out for their own interests and ignored everyone else. I don’t care if they are from the Whig party!

Louisville definitely needs somebody with fresh positive ideas who is also a lot more honest and transparent than Mayor Jer.

In 2010, anybody but Mayor Jer! (as long as he’s not running against a right-wing screwball)

I think Mayor McCheese has followed other leaders who stayed too long. We need some new energy. However, let’s elect someone on the basis of their ideas and views instead of mindlessly supporting someone because they are a member of one club or the other. The problems we face require deeper thinking than cheering for a sports team.

Silly little Republican party! Louisville may have been caught “sleeping at the wheel” when they just elected a similar underqualified, over-financed young blonde…..but not in this race. Despite all his current political problems, the Republican party is going need someone a lot more capable than this political “Mc-lightweight” to take out Mayor McCheese! The idea of this upset is “Mc-laughable”!

Sorry, but not even close. Julie started off with a lot of promise but rarely made any appearance or impact down at City Hall for the last 3 years of her tenure. Her constituents basically got to watch their grass grow in District 18. Not a good leader, just a follwer of her pal Ellen Call.
