Big Inauguration Party Tomorrow – Come!

Okay, we gave in and agreed to be sponsors. So now you have to come.

Our 1 Planet, Interfaith Paths to Peace and other organizations are holding a fancy inauguration party tomorrow night at the historic Henry Clay Ballroom in Louisville, at 604 South Third Street.

From 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M., there’s a luncheon (it’s now closed if you haven’t RSVPd) and live oath of office viewing. And from 4:00 – 10:00 P.M. there’s a FREE happy hour celebration with drinks, appetizers and entertainment – no RSVP required!

The event is non-partisan and is being sponsored by Sustain – which will give away discount coupons and other great eco-friendly products during the happy hour – and US!

You’ll have a chance to make history and will officially be a part of the presidential inaugural program. Video from our event will be streamed live on television and video walls at other official inaugural events. And you’ll have the opportunity to see video from elected officials like Secretary of State Trey Grayson, Congressman John Yarmuth and Mayor Jerry Abramson about the importance of the inauguration and the presidency.

Did we mention that it’s FREE?

If you can’t make it to our event? MSNBC and Starbucks are teaming up everywhere to make sure you have a front row seat at the inauguration. And theaters in Louisville are hosting screenings.

P.S. Check back later for fancy giveaways from Sustain for those of you who want to take part in our event but can’t attend for whatever reason. And if you’re interested, there’s still time to RSVP for the 11-2:00 P.M. luncheon. You’ve got til 5:00 P.M. today.

Did you say FREE alcohol? Why I can’t think of a better way to welcome yet another destroyer of the United States.
